There once was a Minstrel…

I was surfing through some of my old stuff because I want to clean my folder out. I found this and thought I’d share it.

I dedicate it to my mother because she’s the one who told me not all poetry has to be serious.

Once Upon a TimeMinstrel

There once was minstrel

With so fine a lute and hand

That he had captured

All the hearts of the land.

He sang and he warbled

His calamities of love

To which the girls swooned

And, for his attention, pushed and shoved.

Then one wretched night

He awoke with a start

To find his minstrel fantasy

Was his mind’s work of art.
